Hello! My name is Lisa Duncan. I have been an educator with the Scottsboro City School System for 30 years. Twenty-eight of those years have been spent working with 5th and 6th graders at Page Elementary and Collins Elementary. Two years were spent teaching 4th graders at Brownwood Elementary. This will be my fifth year as principal of Collins Elementary. I grew up in Henagar, Alabama. My family raised chickens, hogs, cattle, and horses. They also grew a variety of crops. I learned hard work and responsibility at a young age. I graduated from Sylvania High School in 1976. I attended The University of Alabama and graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education in August, 1979. In later years, I returned to UA to complete a M.A. degree and AA certification in Elementary Education. I received my Administrative certification from Jacksonville State University. I am married to Ronald "Zeke" Duncan. We have two children, Lauren and Hunter.
