Subjects Taught

6th Grade Math, 6th Grade Reading Education

I am a graduate of Scottsboro High School.

I earned Bachelors Degrees in: Childhood Developmental Psychology and Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University. Go Gamecocks!!!

I earned a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!!!

I have taught in the Scottsboro City School System for several years, and time is flying by.

In 2012, I began teaching Title I. I especially enjoy this position. I feel it's my calling, my way to serve others.

I've had a significant amount specialized training and professional development in the areas of: teaching reading, math, technology, child psychology, and children with special needs.

I have lived in Scottsboro all of my life except for the years that I attended Jacksonville State University. I'm very family oriented. I love teaching and am amazed that I still learn new things every day. I have one child, and he's quickly becoming an adult. As fellow parents know, we keep very busy between school and other activities!!

I enjoy keeping up with "my (other) kids" - my students - as they grow up, and I take pride in their accomplishments.

I am so excited about my job at Collins! I enjoy helping, and I'm thankful I'm a part of this team.
